Make up artistry, is this an u…

Make up artistry, is this an under rated skill now? With the increasing use of post production and decreasing budgets is it now just as acceptable to "fix" it later? As an artist I wonder, I have spent years honing my skills and still love the job but with a never decreasing Scottish market is it time to look outside? I don't think it is acceptable to fix it later. It's better to get it right in the first place. However, makeup is under rated skill (and it's surprising how many skills are being increasingly treated this way). Adaptation and diversification puts the choices in your hands whereas waiting for others to see the error of their ways... well. It could be a long wait.

Having stepped out of the market and looked objectively, yes alot of skills are going the same way. I find it sad that fix it later is the answer to all problems now. Make up artists do seem to be really keen on it, many I know feel its acceptable. Not all but certainly enough I find it sad.
