I have an idea. I just joined. A lot of talented people on here are looking for money. How about this site offer two things: 1) a section exclusively for wealthy investors, people a little bored on Wall St, in exchange for investment movie makers would train the investor in every aspect of movie making, and give them top billing. This site could match producers to production via one section, like a dating agency for talent ;) the production could pitch then show a short reel. Producers could browse. 2) Open up a donate now section where members can support one another. So for example if we got enough members globally, we could all donate say $5 to a chosen project. Members could commit to donating $5 a month to keep the money flowing within the community. What do you think?

I see what you mean. To be honest we need to grow members here ... once you hit the million mark the potential to fund member projects by members perhaps by committing to invest $2-5 a month on other members would really free filmmakers up. It's a number's game.
Good points William. I'm an air sign and we tend to spew ideas out there. The founders of Stage 32 clearly have it all figured out LOL I gave them a boatload of suggestions when I joined. I think we should tap Big Pharma. They need to pay up and support the arts. So should Wall St which is a great big leech, plus the big monster banks - all gluttonous institutions that parasite off a culture.
ha ha. I'm sure the guys at Stage 32 don't need me meddling but I would start with the biggest Pharma company and approach them for an annual grant for Stage 32, then I would run competitions and award smaller grants. But as I've realized RB and his friend probably have it covered. LOL imagine the not so subtle product placement of Xanax!
