Is it okay to have a feature length about 70 pages? (About and hour and ten minutess) Should I try to kick it up to 90 pages at most so the possible viewer will at least get an hour and a half out of it?
I use to write all the way up to 100-115 pages but I started realizing that a lot of my scenes didn't move my story along. When I trim the fat, I end up with less pages. its crazy LOL.
Give it another read-through and make sure you're hitting everything you need to, in terms of character development, plotting, etc. and see if anything is coming up thin. If anything is, go back in and beef it up. At 70 pages, you can probably afford to add in some more moments that can push things along, build character, etc.
You're right! I read recently that one should NEVER leave drama out of a script. Its what draws people in. Like you said, I could go back in and beef it up, perhaps with more drama. (that will be relevant to the story of course) I love Stage 32. I really gotta log in more.
Yeah, I gotta log in more too Nikkii. My screenplay is up to page 71 and now that the audience is drawn in, I can keep going forever. But I won't. All the twists and turns are being revealed. I'm looking at 120 pages then I'll rewrite which should cut it down some. I already know where I want to trim the fat, but I'm leaving it alone until the end. I don't want to trim out a relevant piece of information.
@Rick yeah, I thought by doing an outline I could create scenes that get right to the point. Then once I've written out the outline into a script I come up so short. Then I'm like WTF! lol

it's about 1 min per page, you need about 100 damn pages. I look for a gun around 75 pages!!!
