I have a concept in my mind about a tale of two brothers in a dystopian future and I am already working on to develop it into an epic story. Now, my question is: What should I possibly do with the story? Should I write it as a novel or develop a script from the pitch? (provided that you are good at writing both)

I would write it as a novel, self publish on Amazon, and see how it does. That establishes your copyright to the story, and you might make quite a bit of money on the story if it's good. If it does well, the studios may come to you for the rights to adapt it. It's easier to maintain control of the project if you publish it. Just my $.02.
