I thought I had posted my introduction but the fact I did it from the tiny Blackberry screen, apparently it didn't go through. I've read through the posts & I share the same sentiment I've seen posted over & over again. And that is the optimism the new year brings. I started in this beloved industry of ours selling Pro & Broadcast video & audio equipment & tape in Southern California after getting out of the Navy in April of 1990. I thoroughly enjoyed and continued that endeavor when I moved back to Florida in August of 1991. I continued that pursuit until January of this year when my company was taken over by a larger company & decided they didn't need any outside salespersons. That's when I decided to pursue my love of writing & production work. Having worked with many TV Stations & networks, Production-Film companies & schools & universities, I've had the privilege of seeing how the magic is developed and knew it was my calling & felt the layoff was my signal to jump in. The year also presented many challenges along with the layoff but I sit here in the same house, driving the same car & nothing catastrophic has occurred so I'm going into 2014 with the same vigor I had when I joined the Navy back in 1984 My 4 kids are in college with my youngest, my son Anthony pursuing acting in Toronto. So it's also my signal to go head-in into production with extensive travel & full commitments at my disposal. I have extensive experience in all production work in both audio & video. I'm also a writer and have started several books I'm writing which I hope to turn into screenplays. Living out of a suitcase is no problem since having long deployments while in the Navy a regular occurrence. With nothing to hold me back, I'm ready & looking for opportunities this coming year & wish you all the best in your endeavors. To dreams & wishes, Joey Sosa-Burns
