Massachusetts/Boston folks: Somerville Theatre seeking novelty/variety acts

Thought stage people, especially, might be interested in this: The Somerville Theatre is seeking vaudeville-type acts to perform in its May 11 100th anniversary celebration. They're looking for acts that are family-friendly, as it's an all-ages thing. Besides the acts, there will be live music from the Somerville Theatre Orchestra, screenings of classic short films, and then a showing of the Wizard of Oz on the big screen in 35mm. Auditions are on Saturday, April 12. To set up an audition time, contact the theater's general manager, Ian Judge, at ijudge@feitheatres.com. This is a paid gig, but I don't know how much they're paying. More information on the auditions: http://feitheatres.com/somerville-theatre/auditions-sat-april-12-1130am-... [Side note to Boston-area movie lovers: There's a whole slew of classic movies playing at the Somerville Theatre leading up to the May 11 event as part of the 100th anniversary celebration. All are being shown in 35mm on the big screen. (This weekend it's a double feature of "On the Waterfront" and "A Face in the Crowd" on Saturday and on Sunday, "Viva Las Vegas" and "Elvis: That's the Way It Is." Maybe the Sunday ones aren't exactly classic, but vintage, maybe?) ]
