Introduce Yourself : Science Fiction & Mystery Writer here by Stephanie Osborn

Hi y'all. My name is Stephanie Osborn, and I really am one of those rocket scientists you hear about. I worked for over 2 decades in the civilian and military space programs, spending most of my time as a payload flight controller for Shuttle and ISS. And I lost a friend aboard the Columbia disaster. These days I write science fiction and science fiction mystery. My first novel, Burnout: The mystery of Space Shuttle STS-281, which was written BEFORE the Columbia accident and accurately predicted what happened to Columbia, has garnered significant interest in the film community. It's even been optioned once already, but the option came just before the economy tanked, and we didn't get financial backers lined up in time. The option has since expired, but my screenplay adaptation still stands ready for someone to take it and run with it, all the way to the box office. I also have a short film script placed with a director, who is looking for financial backing -- we need about $7500 for it. I've got quite a few other books out as well, many of which would make great stories on big or small screen.
