Introduce Yourself : David Rountree- Writer/Director/Producer NEW TO STAGE32 by David Rountree

My name is David Rountree and I just joined Stage32 last night. I am a Los Angeles based, Independent filmmaker who has written/produced 5 feature films while directing 4. I own Psycho Rock Productions, which has also done numerous commercials and music videos. I am set to direct a teen comedy in the New Orleans area later this year as well as co-producing another in New Jersey. I specialize in creating a high level of production value on smaller budgets and work with an incredible post-production audio team, consisting of Academy Award, Emmy, and Golden Reel Award winners. I began as an actor and had success, but have been gravitating towards being behind the camera over the past 5 years. My last 2 films will both have theatrical releases later this year. 108 Stitches is a romantic baseball comedy (Animal House meets Bull Durham) starring Golden Globe winner Bruce Davison and will open on September 12. CUT!, a psychological thriller which is currently being franchised, just won Best Film/Best Director at the Independent Film and Television Festival and will open towards the end of 2014. I am excited to meet others in the industry and am always looking to expand my team of creative people.
