I'm inviting those who live in or near Phoenix, Arizona to a quite different author event, May 22, 7 to 0 p.m. at The Trunk Space, 1506 Grand Avenue in Phoenix. Book event is for Winnie Ruth Judd: The Trunk Murders The Classic Edition. Includes text of the first book ever written about Winnie Ruth Judd, published May 1973 by Grosset & Dunlap as Winnie Ruth Judd: The Trunk Murders. Nominated for Crime Book of the Year, optioned six times as possible film, enjoyed 18-month run in Doubleday Bargain Book Club. I will reveal for the first time publicly a series of events that I and my family have kept secret for many years. Now I'm talking. At this event I will also sign two of my other crime books: My boss was the BTK killer, and Machine-Gun Man; also, The Peach Tree Limb, about what it was like for me as a boy in 1940's and 1950's southern California with a con-artist dad. He served six prison terms wrapped around five marriages. Will be a most entertaining evening. I hope to see some of you there.
