Introduce Yourself : Hello fellow Stage 32'ers...ees? ians? ... ;( by Ashley Hernandez

:D I'm an amateur screenwriter staying out in Lancaster, CA. I've been blogging and writing silly things since I was a wee-thing, but it just occurred to me about three years ago that I could use these writing skills of mine to do something really fun with my boring life (I'm usually not that slow, promise). My husband and I high-tailed it out from Texas last year so I could check out the sketch writing classes offered at the UCB while he scoped out the more creative job opportunities offered in the city. The idea of working in a writer's room makes me shake my head in speechless'ness (that's a good thing) so I really enjoy writing specs -- but since my husband is a motion graphics and illustrator pro it just seems like such a missed opportunity to not try to produce our own projects (which, admittedly, is coming a little more slowly for me -- but I think I'll get the hang of it with practice!) I'm a huge fan of comedy, but even more than that I'd love to create something that just overflows with badass'ness haha I absolutely love the works of Guy Richie, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, J.J. Abrams, Seth MacFarlane, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler. Anyway, that's me in a nutshell! I'm looking forward to sharing my work and connecting with some of you great folks!
