Introduce Yourself : A lover of the creative process by Jack Shaw

Hi, everyone. I think this opportunity with STAGE32 is just what I needed--a place to discuss and share. Not selling or buying, but if it comes up? Who knows. That's networking, right. I just don't like the blatant sales pitch. BTW, I just posted on "anything goes," because that's where I seem to fit. For me, it's all about creativity whatever the medium. My passion is theatre and film. As an actor I've done both. As a director, theatre. But then again I believed too much in security, after living a life with little support, so I stuck to the safe "roof" job and doing theatre and film on the side. Not great, but it kept my creative juices alive. Fortunately I was lucky enough to have jobs that made do the more creative projects all the more doing. I retired and find myself busier than ever--and happier. Now, I act and direct when I can, but it seems I've written myself into a corner with my theatre reviews and can't seem to move out. I have written a couple of minor theatre books, and one book, my bestseller, The Cave Man Guide to Training and Development, written from my training blogs. I have a novel painstakingly written over the years called In Makr's Shadow, but I think I write a novel more like a play. Looking for colleagues, mentors, mentees and anyone else interested in sharing experiences and future projects.
