Introduce Yourself : Hi I am Patrick Higgs by Patrick Higgs

Hello everyone, thought I would do one of these introduce yourself weekends. I am Patrick Higgs, I am primarily known as an actor, but I have been working on my first short film and have a few other scripts in the works. I live in Indiana, but I work throughout the mid west, mostly Tennessee and Ohio. I am an active member of the Indiana Media Production Alliance, Evansville Stage and Screen, IFN Evansville, and always happy to help or give advice whenever I can. I have 5 film projects coming up in the next couple of months as an actor, and hope to finish two scripts as soon as my first short film "Vampires of Dubois County" is finished. My career started as a child in TV commercials, and from that I worked myself into radio, then into the music industry where I spent 20 years in promotion and as a DJ; working in theater when I could. My first film was "A League of Their Own" and it was such a thrill to get to film my own first film back on the same ball field as we did way back then. While I prefer being in front of the camera, seeing my words come to life through other actors is a wonderful feeling and I hope more of that happens in the near future. Not being in one of the big production cities poses challenges, but I love to work and don't mind the travel.
