Chris Iredale is a Los Angeles based comedy writer. He most recently wrote episode 311, “When it All Goes South” of The Ranch on Netflix. Prior to writing for the show, Chris contributed hundreds of jokes and storylines for The Ranch. The New York Times even quoted one of Chris’ jokes in its review of the The Ranch, citing it as an example of the show’s deft use of injecting politics into dialogue without sacrificing character likability.
Recently, Chris’ pilot Quest Friends Forever was named a 2019 quarter finalist in the Final Draft Big Break Competition and a Top 100 in the Tracking Board Launchpad Competition.
Prior to writing for television, Chris has spent a decade working as both a writer’s assistant and showrunner’s assistant. He started working as a production assistant, rising through the ranks on Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Warcraft, and Extant.
Chris graduated from Skidmore College with a dual degree in Theater and Economics. He also graduated into the advance studies program at the UCB Theater in Los Angeles and completed the Comedy Studies Program at The Second City in Chicago.
