Austin Thomas Wood studied film at Southern Illinois University, where he founded the Movie Camera Militia. After moving to Los Angeles, he formed Red Creek Films and has focused on writing and directing. After spending six years working freelance in LA, Austin moved to Salt Lake City and continues to write and develop film projects. He has directed short films and commercials, as well as collaborated with other filmmakers on feature films, television shows, commercials, and music videos across the country. His credits include Gone Girl, Twin Peaks, BFG, and Dead Men. As a writer, he advanced to the semifinalist round of the ScreenCraft Film Fund and placed in the quarterfinalist round for Slamdance and Genre Screenplay Competition.
