Maureen Watson

Hello,
My name is Maureen Watson, I am screenwriter. I was born in 1963 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

My ambition is to becone a filmaker, which has been a long held chilldhood dream. I have written my first screenplay last year in two months and kept working on it. Then I sent it to a critic who gave me lots of guidance, and said I had an exceptional concept and terrific hero...if I can get it right. He told me it was two films, and so I have written my first film and half of second film. I aim to finish it in a month.

At Cannes film festival I met a producer who I then had a meeting with as he liked my concept. I now have four producers, director, actors who are interested. I would love to make my film as I have creative vision, but the film director said she would not attach until I have some funding in place. Its all very new and a little daunting...as I have no business experience, and now I think I need an agent.
