When a famous Lion is shot for a trophy, a woman who runs a struggling pet rescue service becomes obsessed by taking revenge on the rich trophy hunter, whatever the risk to her and her family.

SYNOPSIS:

The most notorious animal trophy hunter in the world.

Now he’s being hunted.

Ellie Stone, 35 runs a struggling animal rescue service in Belle Glade, Florida.

As the story begins she has taken on an assistant, Jesus Jones, recently released from state prison.

Meanwhile in Africa, a rich American hunter (and dermatologist) Beck Sherman kills a famous lion called Freddie in a cowardly manner.

Hearing about the shooting, and seeing its effect on her 7 year old daughter Daisy who idolized Freddie, Ellie decides to take some kind of revenge on Beck.

Her first attempts to confront Beck are easily rebuffed, but she gets her chance to hit back when Beck displays the stuffed trophy of Freddie at a huge Hunters’ convention in Nashville.

With Jesus assisting, Ellie steals the trophy and humiliates Beck, before setting fire to it when Beck corners them after a car chase.

Goaded by his horrible father Sam, Beck sets out to unleash vengeance on Ellie.

-He arranges for her house to be shot up

-He distracts Ellie and Jesus long enough to plant dead dogs and maggots in her shelter, so she is barred from animal rescue

-He pays for a top lawyer to work with Ellie’s Ex-Husband Mike to get custody of Daisy.

All is lost, until Ellie discovers that Beck is appearing on a nationwide pay-per-view Trophy Hunting show, where he will shoot another huge Lion, again in a cowardly manner.

Ellie and Jesus secretly get backstage jobs on the show, from where they are able to double cross Beck, leaving him confronting the Lion without his ‘safety nets’.

Beck is revealed to be a snivelling coward, and humiliated before the world.

Ellie and Jesus resume their animal rescue service, now as full partners.
