SYNOPSIS:

A young nurse, confused by the tricks that people do on April Fool Day, doesn’t at first believe that she and her patients are under attack from a mysterious figure then she has to fight for her and her patients’ lives against "The April Fool".

April Fool is a dramatically freshened-up variation on the classic ‘baby-sitter’ scenario where the young woman under duress cannot just flee for her life from a murderer because she has to also fight the life of a baby (patients) in someone else’s home (a hospital).

It heightens tension by being set in a hospital (quintessential creepy places) and introducing the added element of pranks, being fooled, and disbelief that one is in terrible danger when one is.

It also introduces the mysterious figure of The Fool.

It is a one-location shoot.It has three great parts for young up-and-coming actresses.

It is slated as the first of a five-film franchise. The second one (April Fool II: The Monster Within) is set in a psychiatric hospital.
