High octane fuel is in Loxley Browne’s blood, the CEO of the STEM Education NonProfit, Athena Racing. Loxley’s love of automobiles began as a tween-ager. At the age of 12, she announced she was going to become a designer. She did just that and has since designed everything from interiors, to landscapes, to furniture, to consumer products. But the pinnacle of iconic design, the siren song that has beckoned her ever since those formative years, is the Porche 911. It’s sleek lines and impeccable engineering lit a passion for automobiles that cannot be extinguished.
It is that love of design, combined with her business acumen, marketing skills, and intense devotion, that serves as the driving force behind the STEM Education nonprofit she founded, Athena Racing. She utilizes her broad skill set and spirit to ignite the excitement of learning so young girls gain the confidence and courage in challenging the status quo. Club Athena provides an engaging training platform and professional online network for teenage girls from which to learn STEM principles that will open their young minds to all the possibilities that lay before them.
In three years, Loxley has led the Athena Racing team from conceptualization to current success. Athena Racing was awarded "Outstanding Engineering Project of the Year" by the San Diego County Engineering Council, she was recognized as a "Woman of Influence in Technology 2021" and awarded the "Pinnacle Award as Service Provider 2021." She and her company have been in the media spotlight on CBS, NBC, ABC, Today, The Drive, Hot Rod Magazine, and multiple other outlets. Industry Partners have provided behind-the-scene access to student members at the Long Beach Grand Prix and Portland Grand Prix. Most recently, Athena Racing was chosen as the recipient of the “Driven to Give Back” fundraiser hosted by Carvana and Jimmie Johnson.
