About JJ

Growing up in a small farm town in New Jersey with a name like Jamaica Moon, (it’s OK if you laughed so hard you pee’d yourself a little) and all the inspiration it offered - none - JJ’s passion for storytelling blossomed out of desire to survive (lots and lots of teasing) and to entertain - herself mostly - because... farm life. She aimed at having a career overthrowing democratically elected governments - but soon found she didn’t have a penchant for it. So, the only other option was - writer. She escaped - to La La Land - where dreams rarely come true, but damn we try. She made a documentary film called Gashole - yeah, the producer’s 8 y/o came up with that - it’s on Amazon, (spoiler alert, no one knows who sets gas prices). Then she landed her dream job as a lackey at Carol Mendelsohn Productions, writing, developing stories and giving psychic predictions - true story. She’s also a volunteer mentor for Young Storytellers - because who else, other than a 10 y/o, is going to tell you to put a “goo monster” in a maze to teach your friends a lesson. Now that’s real inspiration!

Unique traits: Odd sense of humor. Talks to dead people (they need friends too). Used to be a paramedic. Spent time in India - meditating (because - well - life). Surrendering to life daily. Loves putting words on paper - sometimes they are coherent. Gemini (do you really need to know more? LOL).
