About Christy

Christy Jordan-Fenton is the author of four award-winning and bestselling books about her Inuvialuk Amaamang’s time at a remote Arctic Indian Residential School in the 1940s, the best-known being FATTY LEGS (Annick 2010 & 2020). She has been an infantry soldier, a wild pig farmer, and a bronc rider. Having first been published at 16, Jordan-Fenton’s poetry and prose have appeared in numerous literary magazines. She is currently working on a graphic novel adaptation of FATTY LEGS, in addition to writing scripts and librettos for stage and screen. She wrote and produced the Aboriginal People's Choice Award-nominated music video for Keith Secola's "Say Your Name" and has worked on several other small film projects. Jordan-Fenton says she could easily survive an apocalypse on a raw diet of Revisionist Westerns, Park Chan-wook films, Stephen Graham Jones novels, and Gogol Bordello tunes.
