Torrie Rosenzweig’s career in the entertainment industry started when she was the cinematographer on several short films including a documentary on David Mamet and The Atlantic Theater Company. After several years in camera, she began producing and worked on several projects, including Cagney and Lacey reunion specials, several PBS documentary biopics for TNT, ESPN, and The Disney Channel and Biography for A&E – favorite episodes include; Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Ida Lupino, Shirley Temple and Bill Bojangles Robinson.
Smoke and Mirrors, A History of Denial, her first feature documentary won several awards on the film festival circuit, including a shortlist nomination for Best Documentary for the Academy Awards. Other favorite credits include; Fifty Years of Late Night on NBC and a short narrative film Wishing Time, starring Seymour Cassel which was made through the prestigious ‘AFI Directing Workshop for Women’ workshop. Rosenzweig is an adjunct professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, a member of the Television Academy for Arts and Sciences, The Dramatists Guild, and the Alliance of Women Directors. She is an avid theater supporter and is currently focusing her work on writing and producing plays for the stage and screen.
