Justin Chomitzky

Since I was a kid I have always had an imagination for stories. To me the movies were always like a gateway into another universe that I could escape into. I was born and raised in Saskatoon, Sask, Canada. I have lived here all my life. My childhood from my birth till now would make one hell of a movie being the youngest of four in a single parent household since my father passed away when I was eight. Currently over the past 23 years I have worked as a caretaker in a school, ran half marathons, coached track and travelled to London twice where I have friends there. It wasn't until 2013 that I developed a passion for screenwriting and writing in general again. In 2016 I bought some screenwriting books and worked away at a full screenplay.Then in 2018/2019 I wrote an online fictional story blog called The Adventures of Pops Brilliant. It was over covid in 2020 that I applied and got accepted into the Vancouver Film School for 2021. Sadly due to family issues I was unable to finish the course but still continued working on my writing and had two placements in screenwriting competitions. the first was a quarter-finalist for The Outstanding Screenplays Short competition for my horror/comedy called Crossroads. The second was in The Southern California Screenplay competition a horror/drama/comedy in the tv pilot competition in which I made it to the semi-finals. Both of those were in 2021/2022. recently I have been working on a couple of new shorts. One called Optional Wish which is a sci-fi/horror. Also I have been working on a couple horror features.
