MIKE MICHAUD
Mike Michaud is the director of special content over at Sequoia prods. He began his career as an actor before moving to Los Angeles in the mid 1980’s, turned to screenwriting early on, and co-wrote his first feature film in 1998, “Devil in Flesh”, ( starring Rose Magowan), for West Wind Productions. Next came another horror feature for Nomadic Pictures in 1999 titled “Maneater”.
Mike then went on to write, produce and co-direct the short horror feature “Night of the Headsman” for Hysteria Entertainment in 2000. Headsman went on to win “The People’s Choice Award” at the 2001 Hollywood Scream Fest Awards.
In 2010 Mike wrote the feature script, “Hell Town “, for Lou Arkov Productions, based on an earlier film produced by Lou’s father, Samuel Z. Arkov.
Having already joined forces with Sequoia Productions and with the growing demand for video content in live events such as the Academy Award Governors Ball, Mike went on to direct over 40 honoree award show videos and documentaries.
Other projects included writing, producing, and directing two original pilots for cable, “Theatre Macabre”,(2020), a showcase platform for new writers and directors in the horror genre, and “Tales of the Dead”, (2021), a weekly round table that featured groups of individuals sharing their paranormal experiences for the first time.
His most recent collaboration, “Mike and Al what the Hell” features Mike and his partner Alex Kolognomos, performing in depth critiques of feature films both new and old.
Next up, Sequoia Productions is set to produce, “Lovely”, a horror film with social undertones, written by Mike, and currently in development, 2023.
