Film Director, storyboarder and cartoonist Aldo Iuliano was born in Crotone (Italy). He graduated with a degree in Communication with a thesis discussing the points of contact between the language of film and comics, supervised by Italo Moscati. After his studies, Aldo explored the experimental language of cinema with his brother screenwriter Severino. Together they realized 15 award-winning short films, screened at national and international film festivals. On his last short film, “Penalty” (Italian Golden Globe 2017 award winner, SIAE award winner [Young Independent Authors section] at Venice Film Festival 2017, Silver Ribbon Awards 2017 finalist, 45 international awards winner, Eligible for the 2018 Oscars) Aldo has worked with the famous Italian Director of Photography Daniele Ciprì and Donatello award-winning film editor Marco Spoletini. With the same artistic crew, he realized his first feature film - this year in theathers - "Space Monkeys" (produced by Freak Factory/Raicinema - with Souad Arsane – Révélations de Cesar 2019). He worked also in TV for Rai, Fox, Mediaset - signing as director important programs for Pesci Combattenti Production. As teacher, Aldo has also been involved in courses on directing at the DAM Film Academy as well as workshops in Italy and Europe on visual storytelling for university students (He held an important masterclass about Penalty in Oxford, in the prestigious Pembroke College).
