Fardosa Hassan is a highly motivated and ambitious Somali-American first-generation student at the University of Georgia, pursuing a double degree in Entertainment and Media Studies and Financial Planning. With a unique background, having been born in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya and immigrating to Clarkston, Georgia at the age of eight, she brings a diverse perspective to her studies and future career. Fardosa is deeply passionate about storytelling and the power it has to create deeper connections between people. She aspires to enter the film industry as a writer and director, with the goal of increasing representation of underrepresented communities in media. With a strong belief in the importance of inclusive storytelling, she aims to write and create narratives that reflect the diverse society we live in. While her primary focus is on scripted content as a writer and director, Fardosa is open to exploring other opportunities in the entertainment industry, and excited to see where her journey takes her.
