About Chevy

Chevy K. Chen is a native Californian, from the San Francisco Bay Area and now resides in Los Angeles. Chevy attended the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where he specialized as a cinematographer and sound editor and mixer. In 2010, Chevy joined fellow alumnus and director Jordan Bahat to finish Bahat's directorial debut - featured documentary Jealous of the Birds, which won Best Original Score composed by Hans Zimmer. In 2011, Chevy joined Master Key Productions (MK) as a visual effects producer and assisted on shows USA network's Covert Affairs and Suits., FX's Justified, and ABC’s Scandal. As MK expanded, Chevy became the Head of Production and Sr. VP for MK, specializing in producing their Foreign Unit Shoots. Over the span of 3 years, Chevy produced in over 25 countries and for various shows and networks (ABC, NBCUniversal, Sony, Marvel, and others). Among producing, Chevy 2nd Unit Directed and VFX Supervised for shows HBO's Westworld, MRC’s Counterpart.

In 2016, Chevy launched FIREGLORY with Christine Guenther, to continue international production services and creating offices in Los Angeles and Berlin. Together they started a development branch that would utilize the US financing and Co-production financing strategies and curated a slate of that would would reflect who they were as individuals (diverse and inclusive) that mixes Hollywood and European Arthouse stories that can travel globally for TV and Film audiences.

In 2019, Chevy produced Kiss Me Kösher - a romantic comedy, Nasima - a feature documentary, and co-produced Home - feature drama: All three films will release in 2021, after the great “pause” of 2020. In 2021, Chevy expanded production services with San Francisco’s tech giant, Salesforce, consulting and producing for their various production needs.

Chevy is Producer Guild of America member since 2012 and recipient of the PGA’s Mentorship program in 2016. He serves a part of their International Committee, Asian American Pacific Islander Committee, and New Media council.
