Natalie Richardson

Natalie is a freelance performing arts producer based in both London and Berlin with a strong interest in physical theatre, circus theatre, live art and contemporary dance theatre. She is passionate about supporting emerging artists in theatre and dance and is excited by new companies whose work crosses many art forms. She graduated with a BA in Film, TV & Theatre Studies from the University of Derby in 1998 and then studied an MA in Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths College in 2002.

After 10 years as a theatre and venue manager working in a variety of venues across London including the Apollo Victoria Theatre (Starlight Express), the Arts Theatre, Blackheath Halls and Riverside Studios she moved into producing after studying theatre directing and producing at Goldsmiths College London. Natalie worked for touring theatre company Trestle for 6 years between 2004-2010 as both General Manager and Administrative Producer and most recently was the first Associate Producer for The Hat Factory in Luton between 2010-2012. There she supported the development of touring work by dance artists including Helen Parlor, Shane Shambhu, Sarah Levinsky, Julia Cheng and Jean Abreu.

Natalie prefers to work in close partnership with companies and artists and offers a full project management service as the Executive, Associate or individual project Producer including the fundraising, financial administration and budgeting, tour booking, programming, marketing and promotion, promoter liaison, advocacy and tour management for international productions. She has been a Trustee for Camden People’s Theatre (CPT) in London since 2004, a small but mighty studio theatre that nurtures the development of new work by artists who ‘work in ways that extend the boundaries of theatre and performance’. Natalie is developing an international tour booking service and is currently collaborating informally with clients Jean Abreu Dance and Earthfall from Wales.
