Hunter Gause is a Colorado-born Filmmaker based in New York.
In Colorado, he worked in his family’s clothing store and, later, in New York City as an assistant theater director & instructor. Now, he makes films.His current work revolves around learning disabilities, art, and family.
Hunter has shown his work at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Market, Times Square Arts, The Tank, and Art Frieze. His artwork has been shown with Carriage Trade and Allouche Gallery. He’s curated happenings at The Tank and Puragtory. In 2023, he founded the production company Occipital Filmworks.
Education includes a BA in Acting and Directing from Marymount Manhattan College and a Certificate in Filmmaking from NYU Yellowbrick. Additional training includes Sundance Co//ab and Union Docs.
