My love affair with filmmaking began in my hometown of Hauppauge, Long Island, where I grew up clocking hours behind the lens of a neighbor’s VHS camcorder, collaborating with friends and family on short films and sketch variety shows. I hold a Film/TV/Radio degree from Suffolk County Community College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY Purchase’s Conservatory of Film. Upon graduating, I moved to New York City, where I spent fifteen years working as an editor and post-production specialist in the film and television industry. I found my start in digital media at the groundbreaking LGBTQ documentary group In the Life, before moving on to assist on several acclaimed television documentary programs, including 60 Days In (A&E), Belief presented by Oprah Winfrey (Discovery), and Our America with Lisa Ling (OWN). In 2017, I joined “Brandshop”, the creative agency at Group Nine Media as an editor, but quickly became their Director of Post-Production, facilitating the creation of branded content across such well-known media outlets as The Dodo, NowThis, Seeker, and Thrillist. As of 2023, I am still pursuing my passions of editing, writing, and decoding what makes moving pictures great. I currently lives in Massachusetts with my husband and our Maine Coon cat, Rex. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
