Hi!
I am a recent university graduate with close to 5 years of professional experience working as a video editor. From 30-second event promos to 1h30-long wedding videos, I’ve learned to sharpen my attention to detail, tap into my intuitive sense of pace and constantly push my creative boundaries. But mostly importantly, I’ve mastered the ability to make the in-laws look like they 100% approve of their son in law on the big day. Okay who am I kidding? Not even Ms. Schoonmaker can do that. I’d say 80% at best. Overall, I’ve edited vlogs (climbing their way up to 5k views regularly on YT), weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, hospital patient testimonials, demo reels, condo projects, documentary shorts, sports events, event recaps and promos, short films and much more. My personal favourite is anything paired with music. That’s where I really thrive and feel at most in my element. And Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Mostly I just really want to attend one. Have you SEEN the amount of production that goes into one of those?

As much as I love the art of editing, I am eager to leverage my post-production skills and venture out into new roles in the video and film production industry. I have aspirations of becoming a screenwriter, notably in comedy TV and I believe my built-in knack for timing and tone will set me on the right foot. In university I took two scriptwriting courses for which I needed to apply with a piece of writing. In the course, ended up writing a pilot episode for a TV show concept I created. In parallel to this, I took a TV Studies course where I made a pitch-deck for my show. One of my dreams is to have it produced! And then to become some sort of a Mindy Kaling, naturally.
I know we’re 4 months into a writers’ strike, but once all that hopefully gets resolved… and you know, if AI doesn’t take over writers’ jobs… I’m not helping myself here. Anyway, in the meantime I’ll be working on more episodes and finishing up what I’m currently watching: Pose.
