In 2013, Edwards wrote and directed his first feature, THE BETTER ANGELS, starring Diane Kruger and Jason Clarke, which centers on the youth of Abraham Lincoln. It debuted domestically at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and internationally at the 64th Berlin Film Festival. Edwards' second feature as writer and director was AGE OUT, a modern-day crime drama set in Texas starring Tye Sheridan and Imogen Poots. AGE OUT made its world premiere at the 2018 South By Southwest Film Festival. FIRST LOVE, starring Diane Kruger and Hero Fiennes Tiffin is Edwards' latest film – released in 2022. Before directing his own features, Edwards worked as Editor and 2nd Unit Director on Terrence Malick's THE TREE OF LIFE, TO THE WONDER, and KNIGHT OF CUPS.
