In a monster-infested underworld hidden in 2050 Tokyo, a veteran shinobi hunts down a secret council of supernatural elites plotting to free their imprisoned Lord and trigger a nuclear apocalypse that would end human civilization.

SYNOPSIS:

Two thousand years ago, a brutal battle raged between a secret order of Shaolin masters and the monstrous Minotaur Lord. After a devastating struggle, the masters succeeded in sealing the creature within a mystical prism. Realizing that other supernatural threats could endanger humanity, the surviving warriors formed a hidden order devoted to hunting and eradicating monsters, myths, and legendary creatures before they could rise to power again.

In the year 2050, Tokyo has become a glittering hub of power, wealth, and secrecy. At a towering skyscraper, ELISE, a glamorous and influential celebrity (and a vampire), arrives for an elite private meeting. Unknown to her, a covert intelligence operative infiltrates the event (as a drunk) and steals a micro-disk containing detailed information about the building’s security systems.

The operative delivers the data to ORACLE, the order’s tech specialist, who analyzes the files and uncovers Elise’s true nature. Oracle contacts the leadership of the ancient order, who authorize an assassination mission. The task is assigned to DEMON, a veteran shinobi and one of the order’s most lethal operatives.

Pulled from meditation, Demon receives the mission briefing from Oracle and prepares for deployment. He boards a stealth aircraft and parachutes onto the roof of Elise’s skyscraper fortress.

Moving silently through the building, Demon eliminates several guards… only to discover they are not even human but merely thralls under Elise’s control. Oracle assists him remotely, hacking security systems and guiding him through the tower while monitoring threats.

Meanwhile, Elise meets with a mysterious group known only as The Board. During their discussion, one member reveals they are close to locating an ancient artifact capable of breaking the two-thousand-year seal that is currently imprisoning their Lord.

Demon secretly records the conversation, transmitting the audio back to Oracle and the order’s leadership. But the mission takes a dangerous turn when Demon is ambushed by a powerful werewolf guarding Elise. As the two clash in a brutal fight, Elise uses the distraction to flee.

She escapes to the rooftop and boards a helicopter. Demon defeats the werewolf and pursues her, leaping aboard the aircraft as it lifts off. In the air, he battles Elise in her monstrous vampire form. Realizing she may overpower him, Demon kills the pilot, sending the helicopter spiraling down in a violent crash.

Elise survives the impact and prepares to finish Demon. But he has one final move. Spraying a cloud of poisonous mist into her face, he weakens the vampire long enough to strike, leading to her decapitation and completing the mission.

In the aftermath, Oracle orders Demon to return to headquarters immediately. The order’s leaders, having heard the recorded conversation, are deeply troubled. The existence of The Board suggests a far larger conspiracy already in motion.

The Pilot ends with a new mission assigned to Demon: track down every member of The Board and discover their true objective before it is too late.

Series Vision:

Season 1’s story engine follows Demon as he hunts the powerful figures behind The Board, a secret coalition of supernatural elites working in the shadows. Their ultimate plan is to locate the artifact capable of breaking the ancient seal and releasing the imprisoned Great Minotaur Lord.

But their ambitions go even further than releasing their Lord. Once the Lord returns, The Board intends to trigger the launch of the world’s nuclear arsenals, collapsing human civilization, and ushering in a new era where monsters rule over the remnants of humanity. With time running out, Demon must uncover the members of The Board, stop the return of the Minotaur Lord, and prevent a global nuclear apocalypse.
