Dylan Townsend

Dylan Townsend is an award winning creator, producer & director
who initially began shooting his own projects in Ireland- after a
decade of photography, journalism and completing his film & journalism studies in Dublin.

Directing comedy films ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’,
comedy web series ‘Slainte’ and poetry documentary
‘Shadowsmiths’; led to his being invited to join RTE’s Docu-reality
series ‘Exiles: Vancouver’.

While on the show in Vancouver, Dylan was documented creating
the comedy Tv series ‘Hipsterverse’ with Michael Coleman (Once
Upon a Time) and bringing comedy Queen Aisha Tyler ( Friends,
Whose line is it anyway, Archer) onto the project as a guest
director. As showrunner & director of ‘Hipsterverse’, he pitched & sold the TV series to TAG Channel; which was
distributed under DISH network and SONIFI across North America
in 2017.

As producer on his recent film ‘Bad Suns’ shot in LA, starring Kevin
Ryan( Copper) and Timothy Murphy ( Sons of Anerchy,
Snowpiercer), he won multiple best film awards as producer,
among the films 38 global festival awards. Dylan recently
negotiated a distribution agreement with US based Sci-fi network
‘Dust channel’ and screened the film in LA & Dublin with Q & A’s
with Film icons , Shane Black & Jim Sheridan.

Working now in Los Angeles, Dylan has been busy developing Two
half hour spiritual satire comedy shows. ‘Wewoke’, created by
Dylan and directed by award winning writer and director, Kirsten
Sheridan ( In America, August Rush) and most recently, developing
‘Intentional’ a show with talent including Alexis Knapp (Pitch
Perfect franchise) about a hippy
cult commune in California.
