or the past 15 years Nate has served the film and television industry with focus on detail and high production value. He has produced, directed and edited high-flying, corporate videos and short documentaries whilst designing Post Production workflows for feature films and reality television formats, like South Africa’s first season of “The Bachelor - South Africa”. Nate has found himself working across a diverse range of disciplines. He has also online edited various drama series, and worked as a senior offline editor on 7de Laan’s, season 22.

Nate delivered his first material for broadcast at 19 when he edited his first music video and magazine inserts which was shown on 34’ Degrees South on Hope Channel International (Direct TV, USA). In 2009 he interned at the religious TV channel in Sweden, Lifestyle TV. Here he worked in a live-multi camera environment in live TV productions both in Malmo, Stockholm, and Birmingham, England as a live camera operator, including working as video editor, lighting technician. Lifestyle TV was finishing off their feature length documentary, and Nate took the opportunity to “colour-grade” the 120 minute “The Stones Cry Out” at the age of 21.

At 22, Nate produced his first production - a 13-part youth talk show series “Consider This” in association with counter.act media / SIDmedia Studios and Hope Channel International. Nate, went on the graduate with a diploma in film and television production techniques, with a major in cinematography from City Varsity, Cape Town, and graduated in March 2013.

In 2014 he was asked to come and direct and consult on the on the first 6 episodes in a fitness, health and well-being magazine series for Lifestyle TV, called “Lifestyle TALK”. The production was a weekly magazine show, that continued its run for 2 years. (Canal+). Nate also assisted Lifestyle TV with their digital transition from SD to full HD. He live produced their Live multi-camera “ASI Scandinavia 2014” TV Conference from Lifestyle TV’s OB truck, and took final responsibility for the quality of the live TV production.

Nate worked as a senior online editor and colorist for 2x Emmy Award winning South Africa Director, Mandy Jacobson on a variety of short-form Documentaries which was broadcast on SABC 2, and e-TV. Since then Nate has worked on notable feature films, commercials and drama series as a DIT. He has Post-produced and designed various post workflows for both reality shows like: “The Bachelor - South Africa - Season 1”, notable TV Dramas, and other Commercials, like “Spoorloos”, season 1 for kykNET, “Harvest” for E-TV. He also worked on Afrikaans feature films “Mooi Rivier”, and “Sy Klink Soos Lente” as 2nd Camera and DIT respectively.

Nate values his skills and passion for people in projects under his auspicious as producer. He has a deep passion for moving pictures, and for his reputable network within the industry that creates the best work possible. Nate and his team currently has two feature films in development, as well as a range of reality and factual projects. He is currently part of the development team on “Amazulu” with an award-winning Hollywood producer.
