A Tennessee farm boy returns from war to find his home stolen and his town under a crooked judge’s rule, forcing him to rally his war brothers and spark a moonshine rebellion that will make him a legend.
SYNOPSIS:
Lords of Franklin County is a gritty, Southern reimagining of the Robin Hood myth, set in Depression-era Appalachia. It follows Finch Crawford, a veteran of World War I, who returns to rural Tennessee only to discover his family is gone, his land stolen, and his hometown of Sherwood now under the thumb of a political machine fueled by the Klan, corrupt courts, and TVA land grabs.
What begins as a simple grave robbery evolves into a full-blown outlaw movement. With the help of a defiant Black preacher, a sharp-tongued barkeep, and the ragtag remnants of his old platoon, Finch launches a bold campaign to steal from the corrupt and fund a revolution — all powered by illegal whiskey and righteous fury.
But every move draws blood. As lawmen, Klansmen, and federal agents close in, Finch must walk the line between justice and vengeance — and decide whether he’s building a better world or just burning down the old one.
