Sofia Roubati

Hey! I am Sofia a composer and saxophonist based in London but work internationally. I am fascinated with the relationship between music and the moving image and I seek to use her platform to explore issues related to immigration, gender equality, and climate change and shed some light on how these themes impact communities.

I have composed music for the National Youth Ballet, Tedx AU Athens, Hotline a series on Amazon Prime & Revolt TV and other other projects such as theatrical plays and fashion shows. My music has been debuted amongst others at Atlanta Shortfest (USA), Dallas Dance Film Festival (USA), Miami Light Screendance festival(USA),Cinedanza Festival (ITA),Newark IFF, Brighton Rocks Film Festival and This is England FF. My score for 'Beyond the Plaques' has won 'BEST SCORE' at the Budabest Short Cut Film Festival. You can listen to it on all major streaming platfomrs!

I also develop the sonic branding of various companies such as the Open Data Institute in London and Olivian Groves in Athens, Greece.

Throughout these years I have participated in various ensembles as a saxophone player, and performed in major venues across Greece such as National Opera, Theatro Vrachon ‘Melina Merkouri’ and across London such as Kansas Smitty’s.
