SYNOPSIS:
LIGHTHOUSE POINT — Series Synopsis Set against the sun-soaked backdrop of a close-knit Long Island beach town, Lighthouse Point follows IRIS WHEELER, a sharp, fiercely passionate twenty-year-old film student who returns home for the summer with one mission — complete her short film assignment and keep her head down. But Lighthouse Point has never made anything easy for Iris. Between stolen nights at Rosie's Shack, early morning shifts at the Beacon Theater and afternoons at her best friend Abby's beloved bookshop, Iris finds herself unexpectedly disarmed by EMERSON HAVEN — a quietly mysterious newcomer who traded whatever life he had before for driftwood, sea air and a fresh start. He sees Iris in a way nobody else does. And that terrifies her. Because letting someone in means confronting everything she's spent her whole life carefully avoiding — including the truth about her mother, HELEN WHEELER, a beloved local director and playwright who was murdered in cold blood in Lighthouse Point the summer Iris was just one year old. A case the police closed. A town that moved on. A wound that never healed. As the summer deepens and Emerson slowly dismantles her walls, the secrets buried beneath Lighthouse Point's golden surface begin rising with the tide — and Iris realizes that directing her short film may be the least of what this summer demands from her. Some stories choose you. This one has been waiting twenty years. Lighthouse Point — where every summer feels the same, until the one that changes everything.

Ivy Guerrero This feels very atmospheric and character-driven I can clearly see the tone and setting, which is a big strength.
The mix of coming-of-age, romance, and a buried murder mystery is compelling, especially with the personal connection to Iris’s past. That emotional anchor really works.
The logline is strong but slightly dense you might tighten it a bit to highlight the central conflict more clearly (Iris choosing between staying guarded or uncovering the truth about her mother).
Overall, this has strong series potential, especially if the mystery unfolds gradually alongside Iris’s emotional journey.
