I'm very new to trying to write and I'm struggling with taking my series Idea, which I think is strong, and developing deep characters while also pushing the story forward. Any help is appreciated. Good luck to everyone with their current projects!

Expand commentWelcome among us. When I see someone like you speaking, I feel encouraged. I am also looking for an agency. I did not find, or perhaps I did not find, the right person who can tell me how to present the script to agents and production companies. Please persevere and do not give up. You will surely find someone who is interested.

Got 4 feature length screenplays, win contests, still looking. Persistence. Quiet persistence.

I'd suggest reading Aristotle's Poetics and then Joseph Campbell's Hero With A Thousand Faces - Campbell's book is the best one I've read on storytelling and character. Will help with any story.
