GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Science Fiction
LOGLINE:

In the near future, a virtually celibate man whose only intimacy comes from AI simulations practices for his first date with a real woman through simulations indistinguishable from reality, leading to mind-bending and deadly consequences.

SYNOPSIS:

The story follows Grayson, a young man addicted to virtual reality simulations who obsessively practices for an upcoming date with Chevelle by running various scenarios in a life simulator program. As he repeatedly simulates their interactions, he becomes increasingly frustrated when things don't go as planned, leading him to violent outbursts within the simulations. Meanwhile, he's dealing with family drama involving his divorced parents and the death of his sister Nica, whom he's recreated as an AI assistant. When the real date finally happens, it's revealed that Chevelle discovered his simulated abuse through logs sent by Ryan, her ex. Unable to cope with this revelation and Grayson's betrayal, Chevelle ultimately commits suicide. The story concludes with Grayson, haunted by guilt, beginning to address his simulation addiction through a 12-step program while reconnecting with his sister Rachel, who helps him confront reality. The screenplay explores themes of addiction, virtual reality, relationships, and the blurred lines between simulation and reality.
