The neglected ten-year-old son of the President befriends an alien who crashed in the Mojave Desert. But their friendship is in the crosshairs of their fathers' ambitions which threaten to throw the universe into chaos.

Casey, the ten-year-old son of the President, feels neglected and trapped in the White House, and when he overhears top-secret information about a UFO crash landing and a potential survivor, he breaks free from his baby-sitter-in-chief, during a supposed pit stop to observe a new geological formation in the Mojave Desert, and encounters a teenaged alien whom he names Walt after the Disneyland t-shirt Walt got from one of his scouting trips to Earth.

Casey is betrayed by Walt who, under pressure from his father orbiting the planet, takes the human boy with him to his mother ship as leverage against Casey's father who hopes to learn from the alien technology aboard the crashed ship to help with a war in the Middle East. While on board the alien ship, Casey manages to steal information about the wormhole that allows the aliens to travel to our galaxy and hops into a shuttle; Walt gets into another shuttle to steer Casey's so he won't be lost in outer space, and they both crash land on Earth but are safe.

Casey must rescue his friend before he gets dissected by his father's scientists, or an intergalactic war may be started by their fathers’ rash actions.
