Two deadbeat flatmates find a lost alien device and use it for fun until alien soldiers and an interdimensional empire arrive to claim it.

SYNOPSIS:

John Gosling, a sarcastic, down-on-his-luck slacker in Edinburgh, unexpectedly inherits a remote lodge in the Scottish Borders. At the same time, a mysterious alien voice introduces the legacy of “The Device,” a powerful transport technology that was banned after causing mass devastation centuries ago.

John moves into the property with his chaotic genius flatmate Billy, where they uncover a strange black crate hidden in the garage. Inside, they find a sleek armlet and an inert black cube. When the armlet activates, they accidentally teleport objects, and eventually themselves, confirming that the device is real, alien, and dangerous.

Meanwhile, in a parallel universe ruled by a militaristic human empire known as the Osmaniye, a high-ranking commander named Miralay returns from a fifty-year interstellar campaign. He is identical in appearance to John and wields immense power while concealing a secret alliance with a fellow officer. He reports to the empire’s tyrant queen, Osmanli, who suspects treachery but conceals her intent behind charm and control.

Elsewhere in the galaxy, a battle-scarred alien soldier named Zuri emerges from cryo-sleep. She and her elite unit are dispatched to Earth with a single mission: locate the device and ensure it does not fall into enemy hands. Zuri has seen firsthand what the device can do and knows the madness it once unleashed.

As tensions escalate across realities, John and Billy begin to understand the scope of what they’ve uncovered. The device may be a first-strike weapon with the power to rewrite existence. Miralay and Selim prepare a palace coup. Zuri’s team deploys to Earth but loses contact with their orbiting ship. The device begins to reawaken. Earth stands at the center of a war shaped by ancient technology, forgotten history, and realities colliding.
