In Forget-me-not Marjorie May, a 75-year-old former gardener and long-term resident of Spring Acres Alzheimer’s Care Home, is planting forget-me-nots when she meets Gloria Whitaker, a 70-year-old former florist and new resident of Spring Acres. They have an instant connection, both struggling with feeling as though they should remember something but can’t quite grasp it. When Marjorie and Gloria see an ad on the care home bulletin board for a gardening competition, they decide to join it together. As they work on their garden Marjorie begins to develop feelings for Gloria. Marjorie and Gloria soon find that their garden has pests and their plants are wilting. Determined to save their garden, they get Marjorie’s 30-year-old trans caretaker, Sam, to take them on an outing to the gardening store. There they have a wheelchair race to get pest control. When they return to the home Marjorie walks Gloria to her room., Marjorie leans in and kisses Gloria. Suddenly, Marjorie has a lucid moment. She remembers their entire life together. There are flashes of memories. Their proposal, their son's birth, their son growing up, their son dying, Marjorie getting the beginning signs of dementia. Marjorie drops to her knees, sobbing. She kisses Gloria again, and slowly the memories begin to turn hazy until they disappear altogether. Gloria pulls away. They both laugh, giddy and nervous like school children.
