An injured singles skater and a butch lesbian disguised as a boy team up to form an unstoppable ice dance pair, until it is revealed that they are both women, a pairing against the law of the sport.

SYNOPSIS:

Two female ice dancers, Anya and Jessie, cannot find male ice dance partners for themselves, so they end up partnering together. Jessie is a butch lesbian who disguises herself as a boy to get the chance to find a partner. Anya is a former singles skater who is too injured to jump and switches to ice dance, but can’t find a partner until Jessie comes along. With Jessie disguised as a boy to everyone involved, the two compete and do very well, until Jessie is outed as a girl. All the while Anya and Jessie begin to fall in love. Because it is banned for two women to compete together, they must fight the draconian ice dance partnering rules to be able to keep their medals and compete at the world championships.
