An empty nest couple in their late 40s sets out to make new friends, only to find that midlife connection is messier, weirder, and more dangerous than they ever imagined, in this hard-R, half-hour comedy series.

SYNOPSIS:

FRIENDLESS is an FX-style comedy that tonally is similar to shows like The English Teacher, You're The Worst, It's Always Sunny, BoJack Horseman and Platonic. Max and Winter, upon sending their youngest child off to college, find they're alone in the house for the first time in three decades and realize that, while they were building a family, they didn't build any lasting adult friendships. Over the 8- to 10-episode first season they try everything from dinner dates to game nights to an accidental visit to a swingers club in an attempt make late-life connections and deal with their codependency.
