The Culling Drama ⋄ Science Fiction In “The Culling,” a curious fifth grader comes across a Wikipedia post describing how thousands of humans are floating up into space, every couple of weeks, coinciding with the arrival of alien ships. With his religious parents and school shielding the kids from news of the world, Timothy and his friends are determined to uncover the truth, unaware that someone from their community will soon be taken. 

The Culling Other In “The Culling,” a young and idealistic news presenter reports as thousands of humans float up into space, every couple weeks. When scientists learn that alien ships are arriving on the same schedule, she reports on how her fellow humans are reacting with a mix of fear, anger, and resignation.  Can she and her colleagues stay professional for their audience?  Will humankind learn why we are being taken?  

The Culling Experimental ⋄ Science Fiction “The Culling” explores how individuals and groups of people react as thousands of us float up into space every couple of weeks, never to be seen again. How will we feel and how will we act after learning that alien beings are involved in these departures?
