SYNOPSIS:

Jane Lonnegan, a 30 something, androgynous lesbian, struggling actress living in New York City is having a sexual identity crisis. She feels pressured to be more feminine but wants to be able to embrace her butch nature. Jane’s roommates, Gary and Mike both work for Lexicon Industries. Gary is straight but looks gay and Mike is gay but looks straight and wears a dress because he is making a hidden camera documentary on gender stereotypes. Gary intercepts a mysterious phone call from a tough talking Latino, Braulio looking for the 13th floor that Lexicon claims does not exist. Braulio is dating Maria, a sexy, spunky lip smacking Latina, who works next to Gary and likes to tease him for being feminine. Gary is caught replacing Maria’s lip-gloss with one infused with super glue by Shana, a large boned trangendered woman with big hair who is from the Corporate Sensitivity Training Squad. Jane is fired from her cater-waiter job for dropping an entire tray of Cornish hens down LA model, Agape Lexicon’s dress. Jane’s search for her lost wallet and I.D. card lead her to a mysterious identity thief who looks just like her. She follows her to an East Village alley where she witnesses a heated affair, falls in a trash dumpster, gets assaulted by a homeless man, is hit in the head with a ring, and gets stuck in a lip lock with Maria. The thief turns out to be Agape Lexicon attempting to escape her public life and come to terms with her own identity. At Lexicon, Mike is enlisted by Shana and her partner, Clay a very manly transgendered man who are actually FBI agents investigating worldwide corporate identity theft on the 13th floor. The scheme appears to be run by Agape’s father, Wendell Lexicon. Jane and Agape begin to fall in love and after Mike gets fired it becomes up to Jane to crack the identity theft ring. The odd cast of characters end up gathered on Jane’s roof as sparks fly, affairs are revealed, misunderstandings abound, couples shift, and shots are fired. Gary is revealed to be having an affair with Maria who is in love with Braulio who is dating Jane’s straight friend Shel who has a crush on Jane’s gay roommate, Mike who has a crush on his straight boss, Jason. Lesbian Danielle, who is working on the documentary with Mike was kissed by Jane but ends up with transgendered Clay who is partners with transgendered Shana who eventually ends up with straight Gary. Agape who has just figured out she is gay is in love with Jane but finds out Jane kissed straight Rich, who eventually ends up with Shel. Jane is left alone to sort out the mess. The next morning Jane auditions for a play performing her own monologue admitting her sexuality and challenging the auditioners to see her for who she is. She defines the word “ lesbian” as “ Let Everything Sexy Be I Am Naked.” Jane, Mike, Gary, and the transgendered FBI unite to crack the identity theft ring. Jane wins back the love of her life, Agape and finally comes to terms with who she was meant to be.
