Hello all, Happy to connect with you all and hope for some wonderful connections through this site! I am newly back in Los Angeles after 12 years in Chicago and am working on rebuilding my Entertainment Industry network. When I was here then it was as an actor and had some fun, small roles to help me fall in love with the whole process as well as working as Production Coordinator on an Indy called Cool Crime. Now am looking to work in front of or behind the camera as crew. I feel as though I'm starting all over again with a new life and new adventures and can't wait to find my niche. My current projects are some Webisodes I'm co-writing and hopefully doing a role. Also, I'm looking for submissions/sponsors/ etc for a 4K Film Festival in Los Angeles in late November. Would love to hear from anyone who has any projects where they need production crew (PA's, AD's, Scripty's, Production Coordinator, etc) and/or if you are interested in participating in the 4K Film Festival. Can't wait to work with some of you!

This sentence in the article was priceless: “Trying to please critics is like putting on a puppet show for your parents,” To me what defines a movie star stems from much more than their bankable ability. Which is why perhaps George Clooney is labeled the biggest star. Their image, class, public persona to me all play a part. I think the fact that films don't make so much certainly stems from Netflix and the like. But also I think once the public has an image of you in mind (and even people in the industry) if they don't like it....you are done in their mind. It's like they all have blinders on. While Meg Ryan may have tanked in IN THE CUT (I think that's what the film was), I applaud her as an actor wanting to do something else. Actors need to GROW. It's a shame when all avenues sometimes pidgeon-hole you. But Clooney is as close to the old world Movie Star as we can get. I also think Dame Judy Dench is another Movie Star. I imagine this subject matter stirs up a LOT of discussion!
