Merit Örlando

Born in Barcelona. Granddaughter of a Cinema Theater projectionist in a small village in southern France. Grew up in Prosperitat neighborhood on the city outskirts creating collages of industrial machinery components that her father use to bring home from work. This game has always given rise to mix concepts, styles, and media in her projects.

After a long career in creative design and television post production she started in 2011 as filmmaker in the search of the fusion of reality with digital media using an analogical final look. Digital vs nature, quirurgic vs olden. Her work is based on to praise the beauty of the everyday through magic realism.
