Josh Lucas meets a young Paul Newman with a little Justin Bartha thrown in...Peter is a versatile actor who plays anything from leading man, young cop or lawyer, to the guy next door with a twist.
His ability to transform and his strong background in theatrical violence allows him to play a broad range of characters. He has a strong gift for being able to tap into the humanity and truth of every character and finds inspiration in the discovery of relationships. He is an avid traveler, wine-snob, and foodie. He is a dual citizen, has a twin and speaks fluent Hungarian.
Peter graduated from the Yale School of Drama with an MFA in Acting. He was an Oliver Thorndike award winner and was the recipient of a Fox Foundation Fellowship Grant for International Research in Ancient Italian Rapier Fencing and Peking Opera Martial Art Sword Dancing/Acrobatics.
While in NYC he acted in numerous regional and local theater productions including playing Sebastian in Twelfth Night (New York Shakespeare Festival), Laertes in Hamlet (The Shakespeare Theatre) and George in Our Town (Dallas Theater Center). Peter also performed at the Metropolitan Opera in a production of Cyrano De Bergerac with Placido Domingo. Peter co-wrote, produced and starred in the NYC Fringe Festival hit production of Big Trouble in Little Hazzard! (a spoof of the Dukes of Hazzard)
Since moving to Los Angeles, Peter continues to work in Film, TV, commercials and print. Peter was recently seen as Luka, a Hungarian womanizer, opposite Summer Glau for the Lifetime Channel, as Joseph Percival at the South Coast Repertory Theater opposite Dakin Matthews; Look out for him as Matthew in the new series The Wedding Band (TBS) set to air in Summer of 2012.
Oh, and I hear that he is a damn fine cook.
