Simon Taufique

Simon Taufique is a film composer of several award-winning feature-length and short films. Simon's recent films include JESUS HENRY CHRIST, a Tribeca Film Institute winner from Student Academy Award-winning writer/director Dennis Lee and executive producer Julia Roberts. The film stars Toni Collette (Oscar nominated The Sixth Sense) and Michael Sheen (Oscar nominated Frost/Nixon). Simon also recently completed work on DOG SWEAT, winner of several international film festival awards, by director Hossein Keshavarz (Independent Spirit Award nominee and co-producer of Sundance winner, CIRCUMSTANCE).
Simon's short films have screened in over 200 film festivals, won dozens of international awards and are being distributed by IFC, PBS, ShortsTV, Reelport and iTunes.
Simon has received press coverage from The PlayList, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Film Music Reporter, The New York Times, and was also profiled in a documentary series on Japanese TV as well as FREESTYLIN' Magazine when he was 16 years old.
Simon has written for TapeOp Magazine, Timeout NY and served as Programming Director and Jury Chair for the South Asian International Film Festival as well as a member of the Screening Committee for the GenArt Film Festival.
